We know

Mark 12:14 KJV
And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
While those who had come to Jesus had done so hypocritically and in an attempt to "catch Him in His words" what they said about the Lord was true. Deceivers often artfully blend their deception into truth.

That said, there is a lot to learn from this characterization of the teaching of Christ.

Thou art true
Jesus is true. Not only is His message true, but He is true.
His character is true
His integrity is true
His perfection is true

Carest for no man
Not to be taken that He does not care for people.
1 Pet 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (KJV)

Truly He cares for us. But in regard to the truth; in regards to the message of truth, that had to come first.

To truly care for a man means to tell him what he needs to hear, not what he wants to hear or to withhold from him what he would rather not hear.

Regardest not the person of men
The concept here is of placing one person above another. Jesus viewed all men equally.
The same message he would tell a publican, He would tell a Pharisee
The same message He would tell a sinner, He would tell a scribe
The same message He would tell the poor, He would tell the politician

Jesus is no respecter of persons.
He loves us all equally
He would save us all freely and
He will preach to us all truthfully

Preacher, this devotional was a blessing to me, especially as I am writing so many right now. I am glad you are sharing your devotions. They are helpful, convicting, and motivating.
We need more of the Word and more of Christ. Thank you.
