Ye Have Your Fruit

Romans 6:22 KJV
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

The preceding verse expresses that there is no fruit of profit in sin. Christians, who were all once lost and have been servants to sin, know this to be the fact. There is no ultimate pleasure in sin. It always leads to a bitter end. However, being saved and made free from sin, we are now the servants of God and there is fruit in this service. It is the fruit of holiness and it ends in everlasting life.

The fruit of holiness is pleasant.
It is pleasant to partake in. It is pleasant to pursue.

The fruit of holiness is peaceable. There is no guilt in enjoying this fruit. It frees us from the service of sin. It does not adversely affect our relationship with the Lord. It rather enhances it.

The fruit of holiness is profitable. In the end, it leads to everlasting life.

Only good things come from becoming servants to God.
