O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
One of the true tests of the child of God is that the Word of God does them good. There are in the Bible
Words of warning
Words of instruction
Words of encouragement and
Words of promise
They all do good to the Child of God. He or she finds blessing and help in their lives.
We find blessing in the warnings as coming from a loving Father who desires our best
We find blessing in the words of instruction as being infallible and without question the right course for life
We find in the words of encouragement that very thing they offer and we find in the words of promise hope for the future, knowing they spring forth of a God who is perfectly capable of keeping all He has promised.
Now the man who does not know God has no such comfort from the Bible.
Those promises means little to him
Those encouragements are a mere joke to him
Those words of instructions are ignored by him and
Those words of warning are an offense to him.
