1 Corinthians 15:1 KJV
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
We are so often given to defining the Gospel out of this passage of Scripture. And I am sure that is accurate and fine. However I believe we often stop too short of the Gospel. Most of the time we define it as the
Death
Burial and
Resurrection of Jesus Christ
But the chapter never really gives us a clear closing of the gospel after the resurrection. The gospel also includes:
That He was seen of men
That He ascended to heaven
That the saints will be changed either by resurrection or rapture and
That this is the victory of the believers
The good news of the Gospel is the final victory through Jesus Christ.
