Comfort

John 14:18 KJV
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

In a time of deep trouble Jesus promised the coming (and abiding) of
• Himself
• The Comforter and
• The Father.

The Apostles, of course, had questions. They were troubled and grieved that Jesus would leave them. But Jesus promised He would not leave them comfortless.

I admit wishing for the Lord's physical presence even for these 2000 years. What joy it would be and will be to see Him. But His promise is for Comfort coming from the Godhead even now.

And I claim that promise.
