2 Thessalonians 1:4 (KJV) Worth Speaking About

2 Thessalonians 1:4 (KJV)
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
Paul was honest to this church in telling them that he spoke about them in other churches. Our focus is never to be men but God. However it is completely appropriate to speak about what God is doing or has done in men.
Sometimes that thing is judgmentAs we see examples of those whose faith was made shipwreck.
More preferable is that which is graciousI would say that even God’s judgment is gracious in that it could always be worse and is intended to bring repentance. In this case though the grace has to do with the believer’s steadfastness, spiritual growth and patience even though suffering.
The challenge is to be an example worthy of mention. I do not believe any of us should be looking for a mention. But we should desire to be such a Christian that, if someone does speak of us, what they have to say is glorifying to God.
