Get on God's Side

Exodus 39:43 KJV

And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

In a sermon he preached recently, my son, Caleb, said that most of us want God to get on our side rather than us getting on God's side. We have little real interest in obeying God and doing His will; we want God to bless what we want to do.

Moses, the Bible says in our text, did bless the people; but it was only after he had inspected all their work and verified that it was indeed done as the Lord commanded.

I want God's blessing don't you? That blessing is only going to come when he has seen that we are indeed obeying what He has commanded.
