I doubt any of us like being tested and proven.
- It is uncomfortable
- It is challenging
- It can be humbling
What if we fail the test?What if we make a mistake? What if others see we couldn’t pass muster?
And then it might seem unnecessary.Jesus knew what He would do. Philip might have blown this test and it would have seemed like he had to. Jesus could have just done what He was going to do and let Philip off the hook.
But then Philip wouldn’t have had the chance to grow and to learn.
Proving is difficult but it serves a very powerful reward. It’s worth it. When you find yourself in the proving grounds be thankful for it.
