Isaiah 57:1 KJV
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
This verse and the one following are reminiscent of the rapture of the living believers into heaven and of the resurrection of those who have died into the same.
Even though the children of God go through the pains of death few think of the rescue God is taking them through. Lost people look at their death as a loss: life once lived will never again be.
But the child of the Lord sees death in a different light.
• Death delivers us from the troubles of this life
• Death frees us from the sin nature of this flesh
• Death spares us from the Tribulation that will try this earth, but greater than all of that,
• Death brings us into the glorious presence of God
