Prosperity

Genesis 39:2 KJV
And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
God's Word views prosperity differently than we usually do.

So far we know that Joseph was
Bereaved of his mother
Hated by his brothers
Sold the Ishameelites
Taken to Egypt
Sold as a slave to Potiphar

And yet the Bible says he was a prosperous man. The Hebrew word means "to push forward." By God's grace Joseph was able to do that regardless of what the circumstances in his life happened to be. He made the most out of every situation, he used it to bring glory to the Lord and he used it to be a testimony to those who were around him.

Prosperity is progress in life. It is overcoming the obstacles and breaking out of the trials so our time is used the best for the glory of the Lord.

In this sense, any Christian can be prosperous.
