Proverbs 10:3 (KJV)
The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
I can see someone interpreting this verse something like, “The Lord will give plenty of food to the righteous, but the wicked will go hungry.” While the word, soul, can sometimes refer to the human body, or at least the energy thereof, I think it is better to understand this verse from the more incorporeal aspect. “The Lord sustains the eternal life of the righteous, but the wicked, no matter how much of this world they may possess, suffer eternal loss.”
The message of the Bible from cover to cover is just the same,Matthew 6:19-20 (KJV)
