1 Corinthians 4:5 KJV
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
This passage may be more important in the spiritual life than we give it credit. We judge things too often. We judge things as unsuccessful because of what we see. We judge other things as successful also because of what we see. But if this passage is taken into consideration with chapter 3 those things that we might judge as the building of the Lord might just be the counsels of the heart of man rather than the leadership of the Lord.
In God's time He will make known what is genuinely service to Him. He will reveal those things that were built on man's ingenuity and wisdom rather than on dependence upon the Holy Spirit of God and He will praise those works that were simple stewardship to the Lord.
