To the Faithful

Ephesians 1:1 KJV
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

The letter to the Ephesians is written to the saints there, and "to the faithful in Christ Jesus." It is possible we assume too much from God's Word. Only the "faithful in Christ Jesus" may claim the instruction and promises of this book as their own.

They are blessedvs 3
This blessing is in heavenly places. And that is exactly where the saint wants it. The persons who would complain that these spiritual blessings in heaven are fine, but they want blessings right now just aren't saints. They might as well quit fooling themselves that they are.

They are chosen
vs 4
This is a very comforting doctrine. It means that being saved is not based on our will and skill but on what God has done in us. Thank God.

They are forgiven
vs 7
Wow! Forgiven! Sins washed away, never to be remembered by God again.

They have an inheritancevs 11
And in that inheritance they are satisfied and for it they patiently endure.

They are sealed
vs 13
That means protected. They will never lose their salvation. God will preserve their soul until the day they are in the presence of God.
