Ezekiel 22:30 KJV
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
Earlier Ezekiel brought up Noah, Daniel and Job and pointed out even when those three men had lived in Israel, their righteousness was not sufficient to atone for the sins of the nation. Here God says through the prophet that He had searched and had not found one man in the land who could make up the hedge and stand in the gap.
Not one of those born of flesh and blood.
Not one of those who entered this world with the nature of their parents.
But there is One who stands in the gap. One makes up the hedge. He is Jesus Christ. He is flesh and blood but conceived of the Holy Ghost and not of man. He is God become man, and being perfect sinless man, He became sin for us, who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
