Luke 21:36 KJV
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
This passage gives both warning of the reality of Tribulation, and the hope that there is a way of escaping it.
There will be Christians caught up to heaven who are not watching when they make their escape from this earth to stand before the Lord.
• Many will be those whose prayer lives are not what they should be when Jesus calls them into His presence.
• There is no work for salvation but there is work in salvation. The professed believer who is not at work may rightly question the genuineness of his profession.
Nevertheless the passage tells us of an escape from the Tribulation, one that places the escapee before the Lord. It is therefore speaking of the rapture of the saints from this earth by the Lord Jesus Christ to keep them from the hour of temptation that will try this earth.
That is something worth watching and praying for.
