It's Not Happenstance

John 9:1 KJV

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

Someone would call it happenstance or coincidence that Jesus passed by

• This place at
• This time to behold
• This blind man

I, however, am of the conviction that there are no coincidences but that our all knowing God orchestrates in all moments of life. That Jesus passed by and that Jesus saw this blind man started a chain of events that forever changed this man's life and continue even now to change the course of mankind through its inclusion in the Holy Word.

The great comfort here is the knowledge that Jesus, not being subject to time and space, passes by each of us if we are but aware enough to sense His presence.

• There is no man or woman who escapes His watchful eye
• There is no circumstance we face that is of no interest to Him
• There is no one of us whose lives may not be changed forever through the Word of Christ spoken to us and the touch of Christ received by us
