1 Samuel 22:3 KJV
And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.
There is a huge message spoken in a subtle word toward the end of this verse.
There is implied faith in God's goodness here. He did not know what the Lord would do or when He would do it. But he did know that God would do it on his behalf and for his good. He was is in a terrible jam:
Having no friends, having his family's lives in jeopardy and having nowhere he could run, it is a wonderful testimony to David's faith that he was able to make this sort of declaration.
When we come to that place in our own lives that we believe that whatever God will do, He will do it for us, we will be in a much better place in life.
