1 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV) The Reason Why Charity

1 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV)
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
This chapter focuses on the word charity – a unique form of love that a Christian has toward his church. The main points of the chapter are:
The importance of charity
Vs 1-3
The character of charity
Vs 4-7
The endurance of charity
Vs 8
The maturity of charity
Vs 9-12
The primacy of charity
Vs 13
The reason why charity is the greatest of the three[1]is because it never fails. The reason why it is so important is because it does not give up.
It is childish to quit. It is immature and unchristlike to stop before a thing is finished. None of us are perfect. We see things imperfectly. We do things imperfectly. We will not be perfect until we get to glory.
This one thing we can do right now – never quit.
[1]1 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV)
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
