Isaiah 51:21-23 (KJV) Christians Who Overcome

Isaiah 51:21-23 (KJV)
Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
Notice the contrast, “drunken, but not with wine.” This is an obvious prophecy, which is fulfilled in
Acts 2:15-18 (KJV)
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is butthe third hour of the day.But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
The prophecy speaks of an afflicted people who experience an overpowering that is not caused by either their sorrows or the use of alcohol. It is an overpowering of the Holy Spirit of God. That this filling is meant to apply to more than the believers of Pentecost is clear from Ephesians 5:18 (KJV)
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
These were Gentiles and they were years after Pentecost. What applies to them ought still apply. We do not need tongues and sign gifts, as they were to cease after the finality of the Word of God.[1] What we do need today are Christians who overcome their burdens not with wine and other strong drinks, but with the fullness of the Holy Ghost.
And to have the wine certainly prohibits one of the potential of the other.

[1]1 Corinthians 13:8-11 (KJV)
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
