Luke 8:23 (KJV) All God, All Man

Luke 8:23 (KJV)
But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
What a picture of the dichotomy that is Jesus.
He is all man
And so, He fell asleep. The phrase means to drop off. Sleep is something we can sometimes choose to do. But sometimes we must sleep. Sleep controls us. We fall, almost involuntarily into sleep. So under the spell of sleep was Christ that He had to be awakened to the jeopardy.
He is all God
They woke Him. He arose, rebuked the wind and water and it was calm.
No wonder they were amazed. The contrast of humanity and deity was so stark they could not have helped but be amazed.

I used to "try to" understand and usually get frustrated at times... The truth is that I just need to desire Jesus Christ,to know God that loves me...
