Genesis 1:5 (KJV) Cannot Get Away From God

Genesis 1:5 (KJV)
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

I remember thirty-nine years ago, when I first got saved, how preachers pointed out that even the unsaved and the most wicked of men acknowledged Jesus every time they said what year it is. Currently, it is 2019 A.D. Anno Domini, “The year of our Lord.” That is of course in contrast to B.C. “Before Christ.” 

I thought, even way back then, some atheist would change that some day. These days they have done it. They now reference B.C.E. “Before Common Era” and C.E. “Common Era.” Of course, these terms are inadequate for their purpose because any curious mind will discover that the difference between before and common is Jesus.

I read this passage today and mused, sooner or later they’re going to have to change the terms day and night too. These words come directly from God. These are the names God Himself gave them. Therefore, to call the day by its name is an acknowledgment of God. Of course, the original language was not English. That is a moot point. Day and night, in whatever language, is still the name God gave them because He created the light and the darkness. Any change of term, in order to be an effective change, would have to change light and darkness. 

No matter how much this arrogant world wishes, they just cannot get away from God.
