Matthew 11:6 (KJV) He Who Is Blessed

Matthew 11:6 (KJV)
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
The Jews were offended in or stunned at Jesus because He was not the Messiah they expected. He was not wealthy, worldly, powerful, regal or resistant to the Romans. He was humble, poor and far more interested in their faith than their political circumstances.
Could it be that John’s question was meant more to set up Jesus’ answer than evidence of John’s personal doubt? Jesus’ answer is such a powerful one. He did not say “Yes” or “No” to the question. He simply rehearsed the effects of His ministry.
Blessed is the one who focuses on what the ministry of Christ has accomplished rather than what their own expectations of Christ have been disappointed.
