1 Corinthians 12:25 (KJV)
That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

That there should be no schism in the body
This is quite the thought given that we know from earlier chapters that this church was filled with schisms. By the time we come to 2 Corinthians 6, the Apostle Paul instructs them to come out from among, separate from, those who continue the schism. We would so prefer that they would repent and contribute to the unity of the church. If they refuse, there comes a point when there is no choice but to remove from them.

But that the members should have the same care one for another
This is the goal of any Spirit-filled church. We want every member of the church to care for every other member of the church equally. Some of them are notable and easy to remember, recognize and respect. Some of them are less so. But all of them are of equal importance.

This means, by the way, that the removal of schismatics in the church is, and ought to be, painful. It is surgery – necessary but not pleasant.
