1 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV)
And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

Desiring that I am careful to consider the context of a passage, I offer this from Albert Barnes, “This is the “second” argument against indulgences in this sin. It is this. “We are united to Christ. God has raised Him from the dead, and made his body glorified. Our bodies will be like his; and since our body is to be raised up by the power of God; since it is to be perfectly pure and holy, and since this is to be done by his agency, it is wrong that it should be devoted to purposes of pollution and lust.’”

That said, notice this truth tucked away in the argument. Just as God the Father raised up the Lord, we can be assured of the same resurrection of our own bodies. The earnest, the assurance, the guarantee of our future resurrection is, in fact, His resurrection.
