2 Corinthians 10:13-14 (KJV)
But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
This passage, in principle, expresses what I am attempting to do, even in these days of pestilence, by broadcasting our services to a private group made mostly of our church members or those very friendly with our church. God has given me a “measure”. I have a reach that includes those He has fitted with our church. My goal is to reach them as best as I am able by the grace of God and to not stretch myself beyond those that the Lord has commissioned me to shepherd.
Verily, I pray for my flock and for the enlarging of it. I want to reach the lost and unchurched without a doubt. But in so doing I have no desire to violate into another’s pasture. I want to reach all those that God allows me. I do not want to presume to feed any of those God has given another.
