Job 6:5 (KJV)
Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?
Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?
I just finished reading the confession of a pastor who said he had labored in prayer over today’s message.[1] The circumstances of preaching to an empty room but a virtual audience had forced him to seek God’s face in an unusual way and revealed to him how little prayer goes into the average message.
Truth is, we have learned how to do church. But we do not know how to do this.
- We do not know how to reach a soul we cannot see or even know that they have viewed us.
- We do not know how to minister to our congregation whose pain we cannot see on their face.
- We do not know how to read the spirit of a virtual audience.
- We do not know how to collect the offerings, so much needed but now so much more sacrificially given.
Oh Lord, if revival comes, let it begin in the pulpits as we, who maybe for the first time in years, need grass and fodder.
