Isaiah 13:3 (KJV) His Highness

 Isaiah 13:3 (KJV)

I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

This passage refers to people God calls His, “sanctified ones” and His “‘mighty ones.”

  • To be sanctified mean separated or set apart
  • To be mighty means a warrior, having authority or strength- power

And then the passage defines those mighty and sanctified ones, they are those that rejoice in God’s highness. Highness has to do with being lifted up. In this case, more specifically lifting up oneself. Our God is all that He is because it is who He is.

What God chooses to do with us is His business. Whether He chooses to make us powerful and give us authority is His business. What is our business is our relationship with God. Oh, to know more of His highness and to rejoice in it!
