Acts 17:2 (KJV)
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
As his manner was.
Paul had some “habits” or prescribed manners of doing the work of witnessing. It appears that this was his manner when he was in the eastern cultures and it was his manner when he moved into the western cultures.
It was his manner when he was in a metropolitan area, and it was his manner when he was in a rural area- It was his manner when he was in a religious area, and it was his manner when he was in an intellectual area
- It was his manner when it was a successful strategy, and it was his manner when it failed to be successful
Apostle Paul’s manner of ministry was based upon the Word of God and not the preferences of his audience. He did not adjust his methods to match his surroundings. He stuck with a manner of ministry that he began with and stayed with that manner until the end.
We would do well to learn from him.
