And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
It seems to me that everyone wants just about the same thing; we want peace on earth.
- We want no wars
- We want no enemies
- We want to dwell safely all the days of our lives
It also seems to me that just about everyone believes that there is but one way to achieve this peace, world unity.
The trouble is that we all want unity around our faith.
- The Muslim
- The Communist
- The Liberal even
- The Atheist
All seek to create a unified world by forcing everyone in the world to conform to their worldview.
This is not a new concept. It is in fact the plan of God. Satan and all his variations of view have copied God’s plan and are doing their dead-level best to make it so, only around themselves and not the Lord.
It won’t work. God’s plan is immutable. It’s also unique to theirs in that it is not forced. God only gathers in one those who seek Him.
World views all seem to be in a horse race to come out on top and declare themselves the winner. These days it appears that any one of them might come out ahead. Anyone that is but the Lord.
He’s not in the race.
He crossed the finish line at Calvary.
