Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
“Seeing isn’t believing. Believing is seeing.” Holiday-type movie themes almost wear out the phrase. Those programs’ fanciful nature has turned the concept into a practically ridiculous sentiment, suitable only for the immature or the gullible.
It is, in fact, a Biblical truth when it comes to faith in Christ. (I expect that Satan has incorporated it into the fanciful stories told to children for the very purpose of weakening their steadfast faith in the Lord.)
There is joy unspeakable in loving, believing in, and looking for the return of the One we have never seen but fully expect to receive us eternally into His Father’s house
- Immortal
- Incorruptible and
- Inheritors with Him
