Revelation 7:17 (KJV)
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
The Revelation twice says that God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
That implies tears
Though the believer has faith, he trusts the Lord, still that which is painful hurts.
That implies compassion
That act of wiping away a tear is personal, intimate, and caring.
The implies promise
It is future. It is not now.
Perhaps tears today are more appropriate than we like to imagine.
