Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
I just heard of another case where a younger man, presuming to be a man of God, has departed from that which he has been taught, those things his fathers in the faith committed to him. In this case, the pain he has caused hurts his family, hurts the church he grew up in and, significantly impacts even our church. I am trusting that the Lord will use it in our ministry, but there is no telling how far-reaching the decision of one young person to turn from those things fathers have taught might be.
God’s charge to Joshua was to be strong, to be courageous, and do not turn either to the right or the left of what Moses had taught him. It takes courage and superhuman, should I say supernatural strength to stay the course upon which you’ve been set.
