Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
There are, in this chapter:
Two parables,- One prophecy and
- One application
Within the parables we find:
Two classes of people
- Wise and foolish
- Good and faithful and wicked and slothful
We also find in them two gifts from the master
- In the first, oil
- In the second, talents
The prophecy gives us:
Two classes of persons
- Sheep and
- Goats
Everything in the chapter ends with a judgment.
The first is judged whether they have taken oil.
Are they prepared?
The second is judged whether they have used what was given them.
Are they faithful of slothful?
The third is judged what kind they are.
Are they sheep, belonging to God, or goats, wild in nature?
The fourth is judged what they did with their time.
Did they care for others or live for themselves?
Jesus is coming again.
- Are you saved?
- Are you faithful to the Lord?
- Are you prepared and watching? and
- Are you reaching out to others as you go about your life?
