And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
One of the chief reasons I think Satan attacks the Bible as much as he does is because it reveals his tactics so very well.
Who can miss this?
The promises and policies of peace guarantee their destruction rather than producing safety for people.
Mankind would like to believe we can all get along.
We would like to think that there is some seed of goodness in us that, if but nurtured, would grow into
a world where we all live in perfect harmony. It’s just not true. The sinful and corrupt nature in us always sees the weakness in this and exploits it sooner or later, experience showing that it is always sooner rather than later.
I doubt that we can claim to be under the rule of the Antichrist today, but we certainly live under that same spirit.
Notice how the Antichrist is finally broken.
It is without hand. One who has promised a world of peace but gave them a hell on earth will be defeated only by the Word of HIS mouth.
