For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
I am happy to know that there is an “inward man.”
The outward man, the one of the flesh, is weak and unstable and grotesque in so many ways. The outward man is fake, fleshly, and far from God.
I am happy to know that there is an “inward man.”
Though God’s work will transform the outward man, it is at first unseen. It is in the heart, the mind, and the soul.
I am happy to know that there is an “inward man.”
And he delights in the law of God. He desires it. He studies it. He learns it and seeks to obey it.
I am happy to know that there is an “inward man.”
And that Jesus Christ will one day deliver him from the body of this death.
