But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.
There is no doubt in my mind that this passage is prophetic and eternal, representing things that are even beyond the Millennial Kingdom of Christ.
The seas that are healed, I believe, speak of people of all races who have come to know the Lord. Seas often represent masses of people in the Word of God. Those of us who are saved know that we have been forgiven. We also know that we do not deserve it. We are equally as sinful as anyone who is unsaved. The only difference? We've trusted the One who came to redeem us. In eternal life, we will be healed - finally, forever, and fully healed of the curse of sin and the consequences of its corruption.
But wait.
Is there something in the eternal state that is not healed?
Yes.
Revelation 20:10 (KJV)
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 20:14-15 (KJV)
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
The soul of man, redeemed or lost, is eternal. There is no such thing as annihilation. Those who reject Jesus do not cease to exist at death. But what they experience is far from eternal life.
Oh, soul, have you thus far refused to trust Jesus Christ? Our plea is that you would give serious consideration to the testimony of those who have met Christ. Do not flippantly reject Him. Do not allow the hypocrisy of professing believers to cloud your view of the perfect Lord of glory. Search not the record of religion, but of Jesus. Search your soul. And come to trust Jesus Christ alone to redeem you, save you, and rescue you from such an awful fate.
