Matthew 19:1 (KJV) Where Christianity is Headed

And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
When Jesus left Galilee the final time He came into the coasts of, or on the border of Judea, but not into it. He was beyond the Jordan, on the Syrian side.
Barnes Notes says that the majority of events recorded between Luke 9 and Luke 18 happened there, not in Judea but beyond Jordan.
Matthew Henry points out that He left what is known as “Galilee of the Gentiles” and went directly to “the coasts of Judea beyond Jordan.” And thus He ever had an eye toward the Gentile nations.
