Matthew 2:1-2 KJV Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
I am very glad that the Word of God cannot be worn out. This is a portion of Scripture that is used, re-used and then used again and again. Yet it still has application and bearing and purpose in the life of the believer.
I happen to be reading this Sunday morning. And as I read of wise men who came to worship the Lord I became reminded of many "wise men, women and children" that I would get to see this morning as they come to worship Him too.
They came from the east and they came a long distance.
Some of our folks will drive a considerable distance this morning to worship Him
Most of our folks will be up early to make the preparations to worship Him
Many of our folks will come with gifts to give as they worship Him
Several of them have spoken to others about the Lord this week on their way to Sunday when they will worship Him
The majority of people who will be in church this morning have recognized His "star" or the fact that He is the Saviour and have accepted Him as Saviour and that is the reason they will come to worship Him
Thank the Lord there are still those who will come to worship Him.
