The God of hosts is His name!

Amos 4:13
For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.
For lo.....What comfort and joy the child of God may have in the Word of God!

This verse illustrates what I recently read in The Autobiography of George Mueller concerning reading the Bible in the mornings until he was happy in his soul. When I reflect on my God:

That He formed the mountains
They are varied
They are visible
They are enormous
That He created the wind
It is invisible yet
It is powerful and
It is a type of the Holy Ghost
That He knows and tells our thoughts
Which reveals who we really are
Which are always lower than His thoughts

That He makes the morning darkness
Which is the darkest part of the day and
Which is the coldest part of the day bit is also
Just before the break of the light of the day

That He treads upon the high places of heaven

What inspiring comfort and what motivation to serve Him and what confidence to trust Him is mine!
