When We Must Not Hold Our Peace

Mark 14:61-62 KJV
But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

While Jesus would not defend Himself against the accusations of the false witnesses, He would not keep quiet concerning the truth of Himself.

He is the Christ
He is the Son of the Blessed (Almighty God)

There are a good many things we can keep quiet about.

We do not have to defend ourselves when we are attacked
We do not have to give our opinions concerning political ideas
We do not have to tell everyone the gossip we have heard about others
We do not need to tell others how to raise their children
We do not need to criticize their
Clothing
Make-up
Hairdo or
Job

In all those areas we would do best to follow the counsel of Proverbs 17:28 KJV
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

But in this one area we must never hold our peace; in witnessing concerning the Person of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
