We Kneeled

Acts 21:5 KJV
And when we had accomplished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down on the shore, and prayed.
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary says of this passage, "Their last farewell was sweetened my prayer." Paul had taught them to pray always and pray without ceasing. Here we find disciples kneeling on the shore in a precious mental portrait of affection not only for one another but for the God who had brought them together and made them brothers and sisters in Christ.

May we ever remember that the One who binds us together is Christ. We may have great love affection for one another, but that should always be tempered with a desire that the will of the Lord be done.

And
May we ever remember that Christ is the reason we are together. So that we bring honor to Him in our assemblies.
