Thank the Father

Colossians 1:13-14
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

This is a simple but profound passage concerning the work that God the Father has done for us:

He has delivered us from the power of darkness
What a blessing it is to know that I am no longer under the domination of those powers.

He has translated us into the Kingdom of Jesus ChristThe word translated means "carried away. God has transported us carried us out of this world and placed us already into the Kingdom of Christ. We are as good as in heaven.

He has redeemed us through His blood
The word redeemed means to purchase. We have been bought out of the slave market of sin by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross

We have every reason to give thanks unto the Father and when things overwhelm us we need to purposely think on these things and give Him thanks.
