Our Problem is with God

Ezekiel 5:8 KJV
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.

My text is simply, "Behold, I, even I, am against thee." God said to Israel "I, even I, am against thee."
Not the prophet
Sometimes people can make the mistake of thinking that a sharp message delivered from the preacher means he is against them. They take issue with the preacher and fail to see that his message is from God.
Don't blame the preacher for telling the truth. Our problem is with God.

Not the captorIn their case it was Babylon. Their true enemy was not, however, Babylon.
God had set His countenance against them.
God had sent Babylon to take them

We must not blame those we perceive to be our enemies as the problem. Our problem is with God. We must make things right with God.

Not the economy
Our problem is
Not the world economy
Not the job we have
Not the circumstances of the region we happen to live in.

Our problem is with God Himself! And until we will face that squarely and seek reconciliation with Him we can have no real hope of His favor and grace.

God points His finger right back at Himself and says. "Your issue is with me! You deal with me!”
