Philippians 3:20-21 KJV
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
I wonder how often we think of our bodies as vile? Gill says of this body that it is
defiled with sin,
attended with frailty, and is
mortal; andbeing dead, is sown and laid in the grave in corruption, weakness, and dishonour...
The worse thing about the born again person is his body.
It is not redeemed as yet.
It is chained to this world.
It continues to lust things the believer's spirit would not have and
It can so easily refuse (through illness and disease) to allow us physical ability to serve the Lord as we would
Our body is vile. It is one of three major enemies of the Christian,
The world
The flesh and
The devil
And it must be brought into submission lest it leads to the Christian being cast away.
And we look for Jesus to, among other things, change this vile body.
Even so, come Lord Jesus.

I enjoy very much that God gives me daily manna from the Word. It is a blessing to post that manna for others.
