Exercise

1 Timothy 4:8 KJV
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Godliness profits both now and hereafter.

There are only a few things that can offer reward and benefit both here and then. Bodily exercise may be a help to a persons well being now. It is for sure a good idea to take well enough care that we feel as well as we can today. But when all is said and done it will only profit us a few short years. Even the exercise itself will wear on the body and we all will eventually find ourselves in the grave.

But that exercise unto godliness; that provides benefits today in heart and soul peace and it provides benefit in heaven in the form of rewards to lay at Jesus' feet and place of service in the Lord's kingdom.
