Romans 16:25-26 KJV
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and
the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery,
which was kept secret since the world began,
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets,
according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations
for the obedience of faith:
The thing that was a mystery
throughout the Old Testament era is now revealed through the New Testament
Scriptures. The Old Testament is filled with unimaginable truth but it was
locked away from the Gentile world and it was practically locked away from the
Jews who possessed those Scriptures but missed the real message of them.
What is concealed in the Old
Testament is revealed in the New Testament. Namely that salvation is available
to all the world through faith in Christ. Jesus Christ is the Messiah so often
promised in the Old Testament.
- His plan to die for us while we were yet
sinners
- His ascension to heaven and
- His promised return
have all become clear through the
New Testament.
