Revelation 14:1 KJV
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion ,
and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name
written in their foreheads.
So much of what
happens in the revelation involves John's sight:
- He
looked
- He
saw
Herein lies one
of the great troubles of humanity; we fail to look. Especially is this true of
the future. We tend to have blinders on anyway but more so concerning what is ahead. A
wise man will plan for his future, his retirement years. A wiser one will plan
for eternity.
The problem
with most people is that they do not spend sufficient time exploring eternal
possibilities.
What will be my eternal end?
Is there a life after death?
Are there consequences to the deeds of this life?
Too many people
never look into these questions.
- To
look is to see
- To
see is to learn
- To
learn is to know
- To
know is to have hope
