Revelation 16:21 KJV
And there fell upon men a great hail out of
heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God
because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
The word blasphemy means to vilify or to blame. Using this definition
God is blasphemed more frequently than we might have imagined. God is
blamed for all sorts of evils that come upon men
- Financial hardships
- Family woes
- Health troubles
- Car wrecks
- Houses in need of repair even
- Red lights
It all culminates in the grandest of all blasphemies when even insurance
companies call certain natural disasters "acts of God."
Why did God let this happen? Is a frequent question during a hard time,
and it is seldom asked in a spirit of humble learning but rather as
- An accusation against
- A vilification of
- A blasphemy against
God.
Truly we live in the last days. Evidences are lining up that point the
way to the “great day of God Almighty[1].”
This is no time to be found spiritually naked.[2] These are days when a
child of God should be fully clothed with spiritual dressing.
May God grant it to be so.
