Silencing The Subverters

Titus 1:11 KJV
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

There is an urgency in this passage that could easily be misunderstood and abused. The mouths of these vain talkers and deceivers must be stopped but it must not be through violence, or any sort of force. It would not be appropriate to use governments to stop them, as has happened so often in the past. They must be stopped but it must happen only through truth.

There will always be those whose arguments are arrogant and obnoxious and who speak incessantly and with little regard for the thoughts or opinions of others.

They will be silenced forever when the Lord returns. Until then:
We may silence them by paying no attention to them
If we give them no audience their words fall to the ground and
We may silence them by our own assurance of the truth
If we are well versed in the truths of the Bible then those who attack those truths will hold no weight.
We may silence them by being completely open

If we have nothing hidden there is no danger of them exposing us.
