David Never Died

Ezekiel 34:23

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

David had died centuries before this word came to Ezekiel. Still God brings the people back to him. But God also transports the people of Israel ahead. The shepherd of which the Lord speaks is Jesus Christ, still centuries into their future. David lives in Jesus Christ. Since Christ ever liveth David has never died.

·       He was promised an eternal kingdom

·       He has led by his example even after his death

·       He has inspired nations for thousands of years

·       He is the father of that people from which Christ was born

·       He will rule in Christ on the Millennial throne and

·       He will rise again the live with Christ in eternity
